Avator I am flying with Lazarus,
becoming a learning spirit,
understanding all spoken tongues,

seeing through his seeing eyes,
knowing through his seeking mind:
A mind formed of details

lodging in a recorded consciousness,
of two-thousand years of watching
man's spinning web of chosen wounds:

Learning from his knowing, the experience of experience
is un-transmittable except, in holistic spiritual visions:
Visions given to lovers, lunatics and poets:

Forever watching from great heights,
with eyes like a giant eagle,
flying with burning gaze:

Holding his moral vision in a mind
fueled by spectacular humor,
sometimes fierce, sometimes patient, mostly sad:

He is Avatar - not Angel, passing up and down
through boundaries of worldly consciousness:
Re-appearing, as shadow in human form

with his mind yearning in curving arcs,
sustaining all hope in humor:
Lazarus - Laughs . . .
